Acne Care for Sensitive Skin

Some people have Acne-prone skin and they find it annoying. Some others have sensitive skin that reacts to the slightest irritation and they find it very inconveniencing. What do we then say of those that have a combination of both? Choosing an ideal treatment can be a fantastic stress for these poor folks because whatever product they choose has to not only treat the acne condition but has to do it mildly so as not to cause other problems. It is even much worse because their skins react unfavorably to some chemicals used in the treatment of Acne.

For people who are in this unenviable situation, treatments that work for them have to be composed of all-natural ingredients.

Such products fortunately are now available making it possible for them also to get the much-needed treatment. Many of them have in the past run away from treatment because of the dread of worsening their condition usually after having some nasty experience.

Benzoyl peroxide is a common ingredient in most Acne care products. This chemical is at the very top of the Avoid at All Costs Hall of Fame for people with sensitive skin. This chemical really is effective at what it does. Killing the bacteria that usually cause Acne. But, in doing its job, it tends to be quite harsh, and sensitive-skinned people tend to develop a rash as an allergic reaction to it or experience dryness of their skin.

On the other hand, an Acne care product made for people with sensitive skin would not have this chemical as one of its ingredients as it would only use natural ingredients.

Another chemical to watch out for if you have sensitive skin is salicylic acid. This chemical (acid) is also as effective as benzoyl peroxide and has the same adverse effect on their skin ( being an acid, you can’t blame it.)

Whatever your skin type be rest assured that there is a perfect product for you. For the avoidance of doubt, consulting a dermatologist is always an excellent option. You do not have to suffer for the dread of not finding the right treatment. Just question. Your dermatologist is your friend.
